After a record-setting event in Nashville, the Tilt-Up Concrete Association heads west for the 2026 Tilt-Up Convention and Expo, October 21–23 at the Salt Palace Convention Center in Salt Lake City, Utah. Guided by this year’s theme, Shared Ascent, the event reflects how the industry advances when ambition, expertise, and standards rise together. Salt Lake City—one of the nation’s most architecturally sophisticated tilt-up markets—provides a fitting setting, known for pushing design expression, material innovation, and construction precision beyond convention, setting the stage for a gathering focused on elevating the work itself and shaping the future of tilt-up construction.

EVENT OVERVIEW

Shared Ascent reflects how the tilt-up industry advances when ambition, expertise, and standards rise together. As the Tilt-Up Concrete Association enters its 40th year, the 2026 convention focuses on the conditions that elevate the field—rigor in execution, clarity in design intent, and the systems that allow innovation to endure. Salt Lake City stands as one of the nation’s most sophisticated tilt-up markets, where architectural expression, material exploration, and technical precision are routinely pushed beyond convention. The region’s work demonstrates how thoughtful integration of design and construction can expand what the method is capable of achieving. This event invites the industry to consider how progress is sustained—not through proximity alone, but through shared pursuit, disciplined practice, and a commitment to raising the quality of the work itself.

Salt Palace Convention Center

The first Salt Palace in Utah was built in 1899 but was destroyed by fire in 1910. An indoor arena with the same name was completed in 1969 and was home to several professional sports teams while hosting concerts and other events. The arena was demolished, and a brand new convention center opened its doors in 1996. Significant expansions in 2000 and 2005 increased the building's size to nearly one million square feet. The Utah Museum of Contemporary Art and Abravanel Hall, home of the Utah Symphony are adjoined to the facility.

Our host hotel, Hyatt Regency Salt Lake City, is just eight miles from the Salt Lake City International Airport (SLC), and is located in one of the fastest-growing and most exciting urban hubs in the country. Plan your stay to indulge in natural beauty, from hiking and biking trails to world-class skiing just a short drive away from the hotel. Boasting spacious guest rooms and suites with views of the snow-capped Wasatch Mountains, this new hotel offers an outdoor pool, charming fire pits and exceptional dining options, including a Spanish restaurant, Mar | Muntanya, which features a cozy rooftop terrace. Both guests and locals are welcome to enjoy the stylish lobby and convenient market that offers the perfect cup of coffee, espresso specialty drinks, snacks and gifts.

Getting there

Getting to Salt Lake City is convenient from anywhere in the country, thanks to the Salt Lake City International Airport (SLC). SLC is located just five miles northwest of downtown Salt Lake City, and eight miles from the Hyatt Regency, offering ground transportation options for all types of passengers. Traditional ground transportation, limousines, hotel shuttles, and ride share services (Lyft/Uber) are all available from SLC.
