NeoCity Academy 2.0

Summarize the project's program, features and achievements?

NeoCity Academy 2.0 builds on the success of the original campus with a 54,340 -square-foot expansion that adds classrooms, administrative areas, and a full-service kitchen/cafeteria, all designed to support immersive, project- based learning. Located in Kissimmee, NeoCity’s STEM-focus models the future of a sustainable, technology-driven education. The school serves a growing population of students pursuing fields such as engineering, biomedical sciences, and cybersecurity.

What obstacles were overcome related to the schedule, budget, program, specification, site, etc. on this project?

Our biggest obstacle on this project was space. Working next to an active High School Campus with limited casting and erection room, a two-phase erection sequence was utilized on this project, with the crane remaining on-site during the second casting phase, making efficiency a must. Due to only having access to one side of the structure for erection, we used two slab leave-outs that were also used for casting.
