ALTO Intermodal 45

Summarize the project's program, features and achievements?

ALTO Intermodal 45 is a 271,000 SF, 40-foot clear, LEED-certified commercial project constructed using the tilt wall construction method. The street frontage is adorned with horizontal articulations, a blend of recesses and projections, while vertical articulations, Airfoil sunshades, and canopies grace the main building entrances. ALTO Intermodal 45 features the Ductilcrete Heidebed Concrete Slab System, which is comprised of a 4" Ductilcrete topping over a double slip sheet of poly placed over 3" of unreinforced concrete slab. The Heidebed System uses saw joints only at the column line spacing, and the benefits include less joint filling, curling, and spalling than the traditional 6" reinforced slab systems. The Heidebed system also allows for the Ductilcrete slab to be completed after building erection and dry-in, providing a damage-free and stain-free finished surface.
