To accelerate the schedule, all panels were cast on temporary casting slab. with almost twice as much square footage of tilt-up panel from footprint slab on grade. The slab on grade was then installed after the tilt-up panels were erected because there were many different elevations for interior stadium seating for lecture halls.
With almost 7,000 square feet of 4" recesses, the concrete contractor decided to cast the temporary casting slab at different elevations to prevent the use of forming these recesses from conventional plywood. This transferred to a clean transitional appearance to the exterior panels.
