Summarize the project's program, features and achievements.
Steri-Tek is a California-based e-beam and x-ray sterilization facility for medical, biotech, and pharmaceutical technological and academic businesses across the country. The 103,000 square-foot facility takes in used biohazard equipment to sterilize to be returned to clients. The building also features 14,000 square feet of office space for the company as well as 89,000 square feet of warehouse space. Inside 103,000 square-foot facility stands an independent 13,300 square-foot bunker that will be used for sterilization. Because the sterilization is done with radioactive e-beam and x-ray processes, the interior bunker was built with 8-foot thick concrete walls and an 11-foot thick ceiling to contain the reactor and all hazardous emissions. Despite concrete shortages in Dallas-Fort Worth, covid-19, material delays, and labor shortages, Ster-Tek was delivered to the client successfully on-time and in-budget.
