Trinity Solar

This 39,000-square foot facility serves as an indoor multi-purpose building for various company and community meetings, presentations and events. The building also includes an indoor sports field with a 150-foot clear span. The facility, which was completed on schedule during the height of the COVID-19 pandemic, used composite and non-composite insulated panels. This project was initially designed as a pre-engineered metal building (PEMB), as the owner believed it was the only solution to achieve the clear span he wanted for the sports field. The fact that tilt-up delivered an interior free of intrusive columns, and did not require an additional hard wall surface to be installed, sold him on the method. The final product delivered the clear span the owner needed and provided a durable interior surface to withstand abuse from soccer and lacrosse balls. The owner also liked the exterior look achieved with the tilt up building, and commented that to achieve the same aesthetic appeal and durability, the PEMB would have cost more.
