A&C Plastics

A&C Plastics consists of a new tilt wall office/warehouse headquarters expansion of their plastic distribution business in Houston, Texas. The campus grew 50% with the addition of a new 35,084 SF two-story office building and 76,377 SF high piled storage warehouse. Construction broke ground and was quickly halted as the COVID pandemic was rattling the economy. A&C management quickly realized after placing the project on hold for a few days that the demand for pandemic-related safety products such as face shields, sneeze guards and restaurant dividers would skyrocket. Construction resumed and A&C began to secure inventory to meet the anticipated demand. The texture painted tilt wall panels received a playful color scheme and pattern to break up the exterior elevation. An aluminum composite wall panel feature was used to establish the Office entry while accenting the fenestration and articulation of reveals. Multicolored plastic multi-wall poly-carbonate glazing was utilized at the Entry canopy, office stairwell and the warehouse clerestory to allow natural light into the workspace. A&C’s team culture and company history can be found throughout the office area. Collaboration areas were placed throughout the open office area while maximizing natural light and views to the outside. A&C’s commitment to employee wellness can be seen in amenities provided which include an Olympic style gym, laundry and catering kitchen. The office area showcases plastic products from manufactures they supply and include lockers, dry erase boards, toilet partitions and interior graphic signage.
