Stout Office Building

The Stout Office Building is highly innovative in its design and construction. Typically, tilt-up concrete walls compose the primary structure, and conventional framing is added for architectural elements and interest. The roles are reversed for this unique office building. Steel framing is used to support the majority of the building, while bold tilt-up panels add architectural appeal. This office building is bold, confidently showing elements of its creation. Steel braces, raw interior concrete panels, and exposed, industrial-style ceilings cleanly display white, painted ducts and electrical work, a beautiful display of a talented firm’s construction capabilities. The configuration of brick, glass, and concrete create a modern, yet timeless exterior. Furthermore, large floor to ceiling glazing provides an abundance of natural light. Inside, portions of the tilt-up concrete panels remain exposed to the interior of the building, complementing the exposed concrete floors and pre-cast stair treads. The Stout logo was cast into one of the more prominent concrete panels. Now lifted in place, it stands to clearly identify the building to community members, employees, and visitors. While aesthetically impressive, the building was also designed for the specific needs of the company. An expansive breakroom/meeting area can be open for company trainings, parties, etc. The same space may be easily partitioned into three separate rooms for smaller meetings or other various needs. Additional shop space was added to accommodate tools and much-needed storage space. From standardized safety checklists to weekly toolbox talks, Stout navigates each project as safe as possible. We do all we can to make sure all those we work with return home to their families safely at the end of each day. Any safety issues on this project were corrected within 24 hours, and specific training followed to prevent safety violations from reoccurring. The Stout Office Building not only met but exceeded the expectations of the owners. It displays several examples of extraordinary craftsmanship. AE Urbia’s team of talented professionals led this project toward success from the beginning of the project. They worked closely with the owner to develop a functional workspace that would highlight their capabilities as a general contractor. Next Level Electric, S&B Plumbing, and Crockett Construction provided key elements to this project. Evidence of their elite craftsmanship skills in their respective fields are evident throughout the building. The building’s location rests on a heavily trafficked area of Bountiful, Utah. An extensive amount of time and energy went into the design and execution of this project. This level of care beautifies the surrounding community. Bountiful is an established town with older buildings and only a few open lots, and this new construction has breathed life into the city’s architecture. The Stout office’s bold construction, variety of materials, and landscaping have raised the standard for buildings along the street. This example of high-quality craftsmanship will surely have a rippling effect, as many residents are likely to drive by in any given week.
