York Preparatory Academy Schools

While not particularly architecturally innovative, the architecture is conducive to providing the campus atmosphere desired for this community's educational facilities. Tilt-up offered the most economical method of constructing the multiple buildings on this 43-acre campus. From the retaining walls of the Student Union building to the long spans of the gymnasium, tilt-up provided the durability, safety, security and warmth desired. One particular outstanding engineering and construction feat was the record setting 89-foot wide panel. The panel provided challenges for Meadow Burke Engineering in the decision of lifting and rigging assemblies to successfully erect this unique tilt-up panel.
