Office Pavilion, located along Beltway 8 North at the intersection of Highway 290 in Houston, Texas, was constructed to function as a showroom for Office Pavilion products. Along the length of the front facade, horizontal red sunshades help define the entry into the building.
The two-story glass-curtain wall further defines the entry, with showroom spaces and offices located beyond. In addition, a structural glass system and clerestory were utilized. One particularly unique detail of this project is the sunshades, which are integrated into the exterior to provide shading, and also into the interior where they become an exhibition wall for Office Pavilion products.
The building design incorporates expressions of freestanding Tilt-Up panel wall fins, which are used for signage and canopy support.
