Paul Sierpina

Vice President / Senior Project Manager

The skill of decision making was firmly established early in the career of Paul Sierpina, Vice President of Suntec Concrete. While studying fire science at Phoenix College and volunteering with Rural Metro Fire, he made the jump to the construction world in 1984, the year Suntec was founded.

Paul rose from the ranks of laborer, carpenter, to foreman, then Superintendent. He ran the Tilt Division for 15 years, while slowly evolving into the role of a Project Manager. In 1996, Suntec awarded Paul as the Vice President and Managing Partner. At this point he put those decision-making skills to work.

Paul splits his time between the field and office which allows him to stay connected and deeply involved in his projects. He’s very cognizant of the overall goal and ensures our team deliveries the highest quality possible. Paul’s main focuses are running the Tilt/Flatwork Divisions, as well as Client Relations.

Another part is taking pride in Suntec’s work, he says. Projects he is most proud of include the CyrusOne Phoenix Data Center in Chandler, iFLY indoor skydiving in Scottsdale, Topgolf in Tucson, Great Wolf Lodge in Scottsdale, and Phase 1 of the Tesla buildings outside of Reno, Nevada.

Born and raised in Phoenix, Paul is a graduate of Washington High School. He attended Morton Community College in Cicero, Ill., and Phoenix College. He also completed a Field Leader Institute (FMI) leadership program, as well as the Franklin Covey 4 Disciplines of Execution, and the Senior Executive Program with the Arizona Builders Alliance Group.

Away from the office, Paul enjoys spending time with his friends and family and exploring Arizona on his Harley-Davidson motorcycle. In addition to being an avid outdoors man, trips to San Diego are a favorite for his family.

When it comes to giving back, Paul says he is proud of the work Suntec has performed for organizations such as the Make-A-Wish Foundation and Whispering Hope Ranch outside of Payson. Not to mention, he’s an avid supporter of 1-Mission.

The best business advice Paul has been given: “Be completely aware of a client’s needs; be personally involved in every aspect of your own company.”

The advice he shares with co-workers and friends: “Live every day like it’s your last. Each day is a gift.” Not a hard decision to make.
