Company Profile
For nearly 30 years, HK Composites has manufactured and sold one of the benchmark insulated sandwich panel systems in the world. Our unique system combines insulated panels consisting of extruded polystyrene (XPS) foam insulation sandwiched between two layers of concrete and patented HK Ties.
This combination is designed to strengthen concrete, making it more apt to resisting impact and shock loads during tilt-up erection processes.
Additionally, it creates a durable, resilient alternative to more costly and less efficient alternative concrete systems.
We proved our concept of insulated concrete sandwich panels by developing an injection molded polymer connector system as an alternative to other more costly and less efficient systems.
With over 70 million sq. ft. of insulated concrete sandwich panels installed in thousands of projects worldwide, our proven system uses thermal mass to achieve high energy efficiency.
The patented HK Composite connector systems have been used successfully on many commercial buildings in the U.S., Australia, Canada, Great Britain and U.A.E., including wineries, fruit processing and storage facilities, cheese factories, warehouses, retail stores, jails, prisons, and distribution facilities. It has also been used in the construction of hundreds of houses in the U.S and Canada.
