"The convergence of the historical changes in the economy with the exploration of allied industries techniques such as “transfer technologies", prefabrication and "Digi-fab", speaks to the need for architects to find ways to continue to pursue creative form making with economical methods of building. Indeed it is the challenge that contemporary practice will face for some time to come.
As the Tilt Up Concrete Association transforms from a trade based organization to a movement, architects must take advantage of its reminders that innovative ways of making and conceiving built form also come from within the traditions of construction technology itself.
Our participation in the TCA has re-awakened our sense of connection to Gill and Schindler, to the idea that innovation is not always connected to increased complexity and that the architectural potential of Tilt-Up construction is as of yet emerging territory. The TCA has been a gateway to that little something different all architects are looking for."

As a TCA member, your firm will have the opportunity to submit for, and receive, highly acclaimed Tilt-Up Achievement Awards, which will provide you with industry- and world-wide recognition. The TCA Achievement Awards program was established to honor projects that use site-cast Tilt-Up concrete to introduce new building types, advance industry technology and provide unique solutions to building programs. The winning entries illustrate the variety, beauty, and flexibility of the Tilt-Up construction concept, as well as tilt-up’s unique ability to get the job done faster and for less money.
Additionally, each year the TCA selects a recipient of the Irving J. Gill Progressive Architecture Award. The award recognizes an individual or firm whose pursuance of design excellence or application of the tilt-up method to new building types and new markets has propelled the industry to new heights.
Firm membership extends 12 months from join date and includes all office/branch locations.
