Core Technology-Adhesives
As tilt-up construction continues to expand, so does the demand for penetration free floors. 3M, a pioneer in aerosol adhesive technology, combined its adhesive with a contractor friendly delivery system in its 3M™ Scotch-Weld™ Cylinder adhesive line that allows rustification strips, form liners, and shoe plates to be held in place with adhesive instead of drilling holes or nailing into the slab. Aerosol cans are also available to meet these needs. There are several formulations available:
- High heat resistance
- High moisture resistance
- Low VOC specifically developed to meet California’s environmental standards
- Formulations that do not degrade polystyrene foam
- Methylene Chloride free
In addition to adhesives, 3M offers a complete portfolio of other Tilt-up essentials. 3M™ Adhesive Remover, Scotch-Brite™ Hand pads and Bristle discs for cleaning concrete, a complete line of 3M™ Fire Barrier products to meet fire codes, 3M™ Particulate Respirators, 3M™ Protective Eyewear and Hearing protection, 3M™ Sealants, 3M™ Duct Tape, and 3M™ Masking Tape.
