We are very selective as to the money we put towards associations.

That being said, we feel the TCA keeps us in front of our key client base and continues our position as the leader in the guts of tilt-up.

Through the Global Associates Council, a formal voting body comprised of one representative from each of the global associate member companies, your voice will be present at the table to inform and advise the Association with regard to programming and initiatives. The Council is responsible for all related activities and directions pertaining to the interests of the supplier and manufacturer members of the Association. The goal of the Council is to help promote the interests and expertise of Global Associate and Local Associate members of the TCA while benefitting the overall goals of the Association.

The Global Associates Council has four designated seats on the TCA Board of Directors to further carry their thoughts and initiatives.

Global Recognition

As a TCA member, your company will have the opportunity to submit for, and receive, highly acclaimed Tilt-Up Achievement Awards, which will provide you with industry- and world-wide recognition. The TCA Achievement Awards program was established to honor projects that use site-cast tilt-up concrete to introduce new building types, advance industry technology and provide unique solutions to building programs. The winning entries illustrate the variety, beauty, and flexibility of the tilt-up construction concept, as well as tilt-up's unique ability to get the job done faster and often for less money.

Additionally, each year the TCA selects a recipient of the Robert Aiken Memorial Award. Honoring the achievements of Robert Aiken, one of the founding fathers of site-cast tilt-up construction, the TCA created the Robert Aiken Innovation Award. Known for his inventive spirit that initiated a more architectural direction for tilt-up, Aiken is credited with the concept of casting the panels face-up to provide a medium for developing craftsmanship in the tilt-up construction method. Past winners of this award for innovation include Thermomass, Tilt-Up Design Systems, Somero Enterprises, Victory Bear, Dayton Superior and others.

TCA member contractors, architects and engineers are very loyal to the companies supporting their industry. These members look to the TCA for news and announcements of new products and services. They attend the TCA Annual Convention to get hands on experience with these new technologies and build lasting relationships with supplier members.

In addition to advertising opportunities, Global Associate members are often listed in Tilt-Up Today along with a message encouraging readers to count on them to provide the expertise needed to ensure a successful project. This listing of companies is also made available online where each member has their own dedicated profile page with images, logos, contact info and more. The TCA online member mapping application is just one more resource you can use to list ALL of your branch locations. Both members and non-members use this tool regularly to discover tilt-up industry professionals and services in their area.

Education and Networking

Members receive preferred pricing on our wide variety of educational and networking events throughout the year, like the TCA Annual Convention, Local and Regional Seminars, the TCA Annual Meeting (held each year during World of Concrete), and other valuable events.

As a TCA member, your firm receives preferred pricing on The Architecture of Tilt-Up, Engineering Tilt-Up, The Construction of Tilt-Up and other industry leading publications, multimedia resources, and promotional materials. Additionally, your membership includes a subscription to Tilt-Up Today, the quarterly magazine of the Tilt-Up Concrete Association.

Perhaps the most important benefit of your TCA membership is that it allows you to play an important role in advancing the industry. Your involvement can be as simple as giving us a call with an idea or submitting firm news for inclusion in our weekly TILT-Update and publication on our website. To get further involved, serve on one of the many committees of the TCA, speak at our events, submit articles for our publications, and initiate new charges. This is your organization; shape it to be what you need it to be.

As a member of the TCA, you have access to our continuously updated membership database. This information includes contact information not only for the company, but for key contacts identifed to the TCA. This information can be obtained by emailing or calling TCA directly and cannot be shared outside of membership.

About the TCA

Founded in 1986, the Tilt-Up Concrete Association (TCA) strives to improve the quality and acceptance of site-cast Tilt-Up construction, a method in which concrete wall panels are cast on-site and tilted into place. Tilt-Up construction is one of the fastest growing industries in the United States, combining the advantages of reasonable cost with low maintenance, durability, speed of construction and minimal capital investment. At least 10,000 buildings, enclosing more than 650 million square feet, are constructed each year using this construction method.
