Seaboard Station

Just off the main street in a small railroad town stands this proud example of what tilt-up can achieve. The combination of thin brick, panel laps and window-reveal surrounds highlights the exterior of the building. To keep the appearance of an old train depot, the Flemish brick pattern mixed with the common bond pattern was used while maintaining the value of tilt-up by using cast-in thin brick. Insulated panels were used in the rear of the building with a custom overhead door made to look like an old wooden barn door. Concrete paving reinforced with dowel baskets were used in lieu of asphalt to solidify this buildings presence for future generations with little upkeep to worry about.
