Annapolis Junction Lot 6

Believed to be the first of its kind, Annapolis Junction Lot 6 meets the blast requirements of DOD ATFP Medium level security while using conventional tilt-up construction techniques and no additional structural steel at the perimeter.

The project team successfully worked to find a solution that allowed the roof structure to be built using bar joists after realizing joist manufacturers were unable to meet the specified blast criteria. The project's architectural features include: curtain wall, aluminum sunshades, a two-story lobby with clerestory, aluminum canopies at the entrance, form liner, textured paint and rain-screen metal panels.

The project has achieved a LEED Gold Certification.
