A box warehouse just wouldn't work for Trends Clothing Corp. as a home for fashion must be fashionable.
The 247,000-square-foot facility in Miami, Florida, with Tilt-Up constructed by Tilt-Con Corporation, features curved panels set upon two 13-foot-8-inch high columns at the entrance. Each column has a 2.5-foot diameter with 2-inch wide reveals set at equal distances. Through trial and error, the team was able to overcome the difficulty of lining up the reveal forms that encircle these formed columns.
Placed above these curved panels are perfectly flat Tilt-Up panels set at slight angles to form a semicircular pattern. The parapets are then capped with decorative foam.
Beige, moss green and tan paint coordinate with green tinted tempered glass and lush foliage and unique tropical palms enhance the structure to create a spectacular South Florida design.
