The Advance Polybag, Inc. building houses office, manufacturing, and warehouse spaces for a plastic-bag manufacturer in Sugar Land, Texas. The 70-foot clear height “tower” portion of the building includes storage silos and processing equipment.
The facility is clad in an insulated metal-panel skin with slit windows to provide ample amounts of daylight to the interior functions. Tilt-Up was utilized in a composite construction application of panels that balance the function of blast resistance with aesthetic appeal, and bridge the office and manufacturing areas of the facility.
Currently awaiting LEED Silver certification, this building is comprised of a pre-engineered metal structure, which accommodates an overlapping metal panel system.
