Tilt-Up TODAY Magazine
With continuing advancements in Tilt-Up innovation and architectural achievement, Tilt-Up TODAY highlights the outstanding Tilt-Up construction that is taking place all across the world.
Tilt-Up Today is the quarterly magazine of the Tilt-Up Concrete Association (TCA) and is distributed to member companies as well as other industry stakeholders interested in the growth of Tilt-Up as a preferred method of construction. TCA encourages members to submit articles for consideration in the magazine. We are especially interested in articles that will help our readers expand their Tilt-Up business or provide technical solutions or advances. Case studies, project profiles and technical pieces will all be considered.
All submissions should adhere to the following:
- Approximately 750-2,500 words of text, including author bios and references
- A minimum of 3-5 high resolution (at least 300 dpi, 4 x 6 inch size) images, figures, tables and/or illustrations. Images will be used as space permits. You document should include any captions for the respective images. Note: images must be submitted as separate files, not embedded in the article document and should be submitted in a jpg or tif format. The TCA offers an FTP site for transfer of all photography.
- A short biography (100 word maximum) and color passport-style photo of each author
- A one-paragraph abstract of the article as well as 5-10 keywords.
Editorial Policy
Submission of any article content to the TCA authorizes the Editorial Board and Executive Staff to edit the text to ensure the piece is consistent with the magazine’s style. In such cases when the article is edited, the author will have a chance to review the edited version.
All images submitted will be retained by the TCA for the purpose of industry growth and may be used in other Association pieces. All copyright permissions for said photography must be supplied at the time of submission.
The TCA reserves the right to reject any article that consists of blatant product or company commercial content. Although a particular company or product can be highlighted, it must be done in a manner of educating readers in a larger context. The TCA Editorial Board and/or Executive Staff may alert the submitter of such content and suggest ways to improve the content acceptable to serving the industry in this capacity.
Getting Started
A 100-200 word abstract detailing your article concept should be sent to TCA for review before you start your piece. Submissions can be emailed to Jim Baty at jbaty@tilt-up.org for consideration.
Final article content and images are due to the TCA by the ad closing deadline of a particular newsletter issue. Articles selected for incorporation in Tilt-Up TODAY will be added to the editorial calendar for that particular issue no sooner than six months or two magazine issues.
