A new state of the art distribution center constructed of tilt-up concrete is now in operation. Committed to environmental stewardship, Quality Bicycle Products (QBP) has a new 85,000 square foot distribution center and office building constructed according to standards set by Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED).

The recently completed $5M facility is on track to receive a LEED Platinum-Certified rating, the highest and most difficult certification available from the U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC). Not only is this a green building, but the company is green as well as their products. QBP is a significant distributor in the cycle industry.
The new tilt-up concrete facility has architectural features that are inspired by the bicycle. The building was designed by AE URBIA / J.M WILLIAMS and Associates, Inc and constructed by Tom Stuart Construction.
AE URBIA / J.M. WILLIAMS and Associates, Inc., is a Salt Lake City, Utah based firm and TCA member who work nationally as well as internationally. James M Williams is a LEED Accredited Professional as well as a licensed architect and structural engineer.
TCA was founded in 1986 to improve the quality and acceptance of site cast Tilt-Up construction, a construction method in which concrete wall panels are cast on-site and tilted into place. Tilt-Up construction is one of the fastest growing industries in the United States, combining the advantages of reasonable cost with low maintenance, durability, speed of construction and minimal capital investment.
