Octaform’s Panel Cover™ Provides Durable, Protective Shell

Vancouver, British Columbia (June 18, 2008) -- Octaform Systems Inc., a leading producer of stay-in-place PVC concrete forming systems, has developed Panel Covers™ for tilt-up concrete panels.

Tilt-up concrete panels up to 30 feet in height can use Octaform's Panel Covers™. Octaform’s Panel Covers™ are built at a job-site and consist of the company’s PVC flat panels. The flat panels arrive at a job-site in specified lengths according to a project's requirements.

Tilt-up concrete panels are formed on the ground at a job-site. When tilt-up concrete panels are built, a concrete form is constructed on the ground. Octaform’s Panel Cover™ lines the bottom of the form and concrete is poured into the form to create the concrete panel.

The concrete panel’s top side is left bare once the concrete is poured. After the concrete has cured, Octaform’s Panel Cover™ stays in place and the concrete panel is tilted into position using a crane. The concrete panel is then attached to anchors embedded in the concrete footing to form a structure’s walls.

“Our Panel Covers™ will give our customers more ways to experience the benefits of building with Octaform’s PVC concrete forming systems,” said Octaform president David Richardson.

The side of the wall that is protected by Octaform’s Panel Cover™ is effective in a variety of applications, including environments where electronics are assembled or animals are housed. The Panel Covers™ are also rated food-safe by the Canadian Food Inspection Agency.

Octaform’s Panel Covers™ are available in three colors: white, beige, and light grey; custom colors are available upon request. Mechanical components can be attached to the side of a wall that has Octaform’s Panel Cover™ as well as the side of a wall that is bare concrete. Insulation can also be added during construction of the concrete panels to reduce a structure’s heating and cooling costs.
