Universal Building Products Announces the Acquisition of Accubrace Shoring and Atlas Anchoring

The two companies will be known as Accubrace, Inc.

Westminster, California (April 15, 2008) -- Universal Building Products is pleased to announce the acquisition of Accubrace Shoring, LLC and Atlas Anchoring, LLC. Accubrace, a manufacturer and distributor of total bracing systems for the tilt-up slab and precast wall construction industry, was established in 1999 by Brad Stannard. Focusing on soil anchor installation and heavy shoring, the employees of Accubrace bring over 60 years combined experience in soil analysis, excavation and deep foundation in the tilt-up and precast industries.

Accubrace shoring methodology was recognized by the TCA with the Robert Aiken Innovation Award in 2007. “The process offers labor savings and efficiency to the process of temporarily bracing a panel.” Based in Howard Lake, MN, Accubrace has additional locations in Illinois, Indiana, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Alabama and Florida.
