StructureWorks, LLC Releases StructureWorks Precast 2007 SP2.0
StructureWorks Precast facilitates the development of building projects by synchronizing and automating all drawing types, bills of material, and engineering content.
Denver, Colorado (July 25, 2007) -- StructureWorks, LLC, an innovator in 3D modeling software for the manufactured-concrete industry, announced the release of StructureWorks™ Precast 2007 SP2.0, the latest version of its modeling, drawing automation, and enterprise data management system.
StructureWorks Precast 2007 SP2.0 is delivered as an add-in to the proven SolidWorks® software 3D design platform. StructureWorks Precast facilitates the development of building projects by synchronizing and automating all drawing types, bills of material, and engineering content. StructureWorks Precast is designed to be used by engineered-product manufacturers for a wide variety of manufactured-concrete applications.
Not only is StructureWorks Precast built on a very accomplished CAD engine, but it is directly integrated with Microsoft® SQL Server. This integration sets StructureWorks Precast apart from all other applications targeted to this market. The engineering data necessary for the efficient management of the manufacturing process is available to the entire enterprise and supply chain through this SQL database.
In addition to minor enhancements, the development focus of this cycle was on Performance. The statistics are staggering. Project open times are dramatically reduced and gains from 70% to 90% have been achieved. The enhancement was created by using a proprietary method for storing information regarding the project, its parts, and their respective data sets in RAM, while synchronizing this information with the enterprise server.
