Overview
The Tilt-Up Concrete Association (TCA) – a non-profit international organization that serves to expand and improve the use of Tilt-Up as the preferred construction method — has announced the 2012 TCA Conference: Latin America. The Conference will present new ideas aimed at expanding the market, reinforce basic principles and practices, introduce new techniques and technologies, and highlight outstanding work being done throughout the region.
To be held June 6-8, 2012 at the Hard Rock Hotel and Casino in Punta Cana, Dominican Republic, the conference program will include a broad variety of presentations intended for contractors, architects and engineers currently designing and building with Tilt-Up and those considering the method for the first time. Catering to the bilingual audience, the program will be presented in both English and Spanish.
“The Latin American market is very robust,” said Ed Sauter, executive director of the Tilt-Up Concrete Association. “This provides an excellent opportunity for Tilt-Up growth as well as to introduce Tilt-Up to first-time users in the Caribbean region, Central and South America.”
In addition, the conference will also serve as a venue for the Tilt-up Supervisor and Technician Certification Program seminar and exam.
The program is a collaborative effort between the American Concrete Institute (ACI) and the TCA, for more information on the program please visit www.tilt-up.org/certification.
The three-day conference, sponsored by CEMEX, begins Wednesday evening with an opening reception. The event will be held at the all-inclusive Hard Rock Hotel and Casino in Punta Cana, Dominican Republic. Pricing includes hotel stay, meals, all conference sessions, activities and more.
