Alive with energy and rich in diversity, Houston is a dynamic mix of imagination, talent and first-class attractions that makes it a world-class city. Home to a vibrant economy, beautiful surroundings and a population full of optimism and spirit, it's no wonder that Houston is a popular international destination.
But you are headed to Houston for tilt-up education and networking with the industry's best and brightest. It just so happens that Houston is perhaps the hottest market for the tilt-up concrete construction industry in the world right now. So, many of you hopefully will not have to travel too far.
Getting There
With two major airports to choose from, getting to Houston is easy from almost anywhere. George Bush Intercontinental (IAH) and William P. Hobby (HOU) served close to 90 million passengers last year. In 2010, Travel + Leisure magazine ranked Houston as having America's Best Airports.
Plan ahead! As you already know, booking your flights early will save you a significant amount of money.

Tilt-Up: Join the TCA on a bus tour of some of the areas most interesting tilt-up structures. With so many projects in the area though, there will not be time on the bus tour to catch them all, so make time in your itinerary to stop by some of the additional tilt-up projects on the TCA's list of area projects.
Rodeo: The Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo is the world’s largest livestock show and rodeo dedicated to benefiting youth, supporting education, and facilitating better agricultural practices through exhibitions and presentation.
Sports: Make your way to Houston just one day early and catch the Houston Astos last game of the season versus the New York Yankees.
Space: Space Center Houston's unparalleled exhibits, attractions, special presentations and hands-on activities tell the story of NASA's manned space flight program. SCH is the only place in the world where visitors can see astronauts train for missions, touch a real moon rock, land a shuttle, and take a behind-the-scenes tour of NASA.
Museums: Just southwest of downtown, in the pedestrian-friendly Houston Museum District, more than 8.7 million visitors explore the 18 cultural institutions that make up the tree-lined, culture-filled neighborhood each year. The district is the proud home of the nation's sixth largest art museum, offering guests 300,000-square-feet of space dedicated to paintings, sculptures, costumes, photography and textiles dating back to the antiquities. Other area highlights include—a vault containing the largest emerald crystal ever recovered in North America, a kid-run city complete with skyline, government and job roles, plus Houston's first and only 4D theater.
