This seminar rounds out an attendees knowledge of the fundamentals for Tilt-Up construction and provides newcomers with a very rounded base of knowledge for absorbing the depth of presentations to come during the Convention.

This seminar follows a similar methodology to the construction/certification seminar to orient a new engineer lacking Tilt-Up exposure to the basics of design involved in a Tilt-Up project. |

This opening session offers a look at the maturity for this regional market that has long been a hotbed for Tilt-Up construction. With significant areas of development, Tilt-Up cut its teeth in this market and quickly became a staple for commercial development and architectural innovation.
Tilt-Up: It’s A System
This session focuses on the qualities of Tilt-Up which make it more than an envelope component or a cladding system – it is a system. The decision to go Tilt must be made early to realize the tremendous economy and efficiency inherent in Tilt-Up.
BIM “Buzz” – The Effectiveness of Controlling Projects with IT Solutions
Building Information Management systems are certainly a popular topic between design and construction professionals today. This seminar presents one TCA engineering firm’s latest evolution of BIM integration and how it is reshaping their methods of developing projects. |
Construction: Safety on the Tilt-Up Jobsite
Contractors must wrestle with many requirements to stay on budget while keeping job-sites safe. Despite some of the highest safety marks in the construction industry, Tilt-Up can result in catastrophic accidents. This seminar will underscore the importance of safety in Tilt-Up. |
Engineering: TCA Seismic Task Force Update

ACI and TCA have teamed to produce this personnel certification program that demonstrates proficiency in and an understanding of overall on-site administrative and technical management for producing tilt-up projects by passing the ACI written examination and meeting work experience requirements. |
