Matthew Bell is a structural engineer and field engineer within LJB's Facilities Division. In this capacity, Matt provides complete building shell design of low-rise commercial structures, including a specialty in the design of tilt-up construction. As lead field engineer supporting the LJB's CON/STEEL Alliance, Matt is also responsible for training contractors in the means and methods of tilt-up construction. He facilitates both classroom training and on-site in-the-field training.
Matt is currently serving as the chairperson for the subcommittee overseeing the Tilt-Up Engineering Manual development. As chairperson, Matt is responsible for gaining consensus on the Table of Contents from the subcommittee members; managing the delivery of the Chapters from the co-authors; coordinating the review activities of the subcommittee; and communicating progress reports with the chairperson of the Technical Committee and with the TCA Board of Directors
