As one would imagine with a name like "Cyber Fortress" the owner required a secure facility - bomb proof, if possible. While there was little doubt that Tilt-Up could provide the desired durability, the owner, Data Centers NOW, also demanded an attractive appearance for their "secure" structure.

Architectural firm Stephens, Aylward & Associates accomplished both using graceful Tilt-Up curves cast into the panels to break down the scale of this windowless building located in Manassas, Virginia.

Tilt-Up lived up to its reputation as "fast-track": the 109,800 square foot two-story facility was completed in only seven months and could not have been accomplished with metal due to the ballistics requirement. Tilt-Up and poured-in- place screen walls provided ground and roof mechanical areas with security and visual barriers, as well as the protection of large fuel tanks and seven generators.
