The Tilt-Up Concrete Association (TCA) – a non-profit international organization that serves to expand and improve the use of Tilt-Up as the preferred construction method – has announced the availability of superintendent job log books for members.
“This will allow our superintendents to quantify their work experience and allow our corporation to qualify our staff’s progress,” said Shawn Hickey, Vice President of SiteCast Construction Corp. from Ottawa, Ontario.
Made with waterproof front and back covers, the book is wire bound with heavy weight pages. The book allows superintendents to keep records for the American Concrete Institute (ACI) and TCA certification program, track education and seminar attendance, work experience, personal awards, supplier information and emergency numbers. In addition, several handy items such as conversion tables and safety checklists are included.
“After viewing this new product, we see an opportunity to have a qualified record that can be shown to prospective clients as proof to the quality of project management that we will have dedicated to their project,” said Laurence Smith, Vice President, Engineering at J.W. Lindsay Enterprises from Halifax, Nova Scotia.
Offering an industry standard for record keeping, the log books are available for $12.50 each or for $10 each when ordering 10 or more books. TCA members can order the log books at www.tilt-up.org.
TCA was founded in 1986 to improve the quality and acceptance of site cast Tilt-Up construction, a construction method in which concrete wall panels are cast on-site and tilted into place. Tilt-Up construction is one of the fastest growing industries in the United States, combining the advantages of reasonable cost with low maintenance, durability, speed of construction and minimal capital investment.
